ABOUT US
OVER 20 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Jerry has followed in the footsteps of his dad, Don Smith, in more ways than one.
Don was a longtime Quincy firefighter, retiring in 1991. Jerry was a firefighter with the Quincy Fire department for more than 20 years, retiring in 2020.
During his firefighting days, Don worked part-time in termite control for a local company. All five of his boys – Jerry is the youngest – went along with him on jobs. As an adult, Jerry filled in for his dad on occasion and worked for a pest control business for a couple of years.
So, when Jerry and his wife, Julie, decided they wanted to start a business together – termite and pest control was the perfect fit.
They opened Advantage Termite and Pest Control in 2000.
Jerry handles the bulk of the termite and pest control work. Don still helps with termite work and Julie takes care of the administrative side of the business.
